In the 1910’s Alberto Menegatti ( Amerigo’s father ) owned a store of his mosaics, Cantagalli’s maiolica and jewellery on Lungarno Acciaioli. He had come back from India, where , during three years, on call by S.E. Lord Curzon the India’s Viceroy , he restored almost all the mosaics of the Emperor throne’s basement in the Red Fortress in Delhi as well as many mosaics of the Tag Mahall. In 1934 Amerigo Menegatti opened his Maiolica’s store on Via Tornabuoni. Since 1981 the Menegatti store can be found at Piazza del Pesce 2R beside the Ponte Vecchio facing the Corridoio Vasariano. The Menegatti's family still produce his traditional maiolica objects and dinner sets. The Menegatti's also produce Cantagalli sets and objects.
